This is a brief, heartwarming true story about a cat named Room 8 who visited an Echo Park Los Angeles elementary school from 1952-1968. Room 8 is still commemorated at this school, and he is honored by many in the community. A rescue called the Room 8 Memorial Cat Foundation, founded in 1972, still exists.
