Description
Good singing is a vital part of acceptable worship. Christian people are a happy people. Those who are happy must sing. Singing, therefore, is so closely related to Christianity that the two are inseparable. Eras of widespread spiritual revival have produced the greatest hymns. As men have felt God's presence their hearts have burst forth in songs to praise and honor him. This particular selection of hymns and gospel songs is presented with a prayer that God shall use every word and harmony for his glory. With songs men have witnessed of salvation. Churches are more closely united when members sing together. Hearts of many people are knit as one when vast throngs of worshipers sing together from their souls. With a prayer that Christ shall be magnified, God honored, and the church strengthened, this book of songs with meaningful messages set to music is dedicated to his glory. - James L. Sullivan - Foreword.
