The fortunate marriage

Poor relation Louisa is taken in by her glamorous cousin Caroline who has been exiled by her husband Rowland to their country estate in Cornwall. Louisa is perturbed by her cousin’s wild behavior and intrigued by Rowland’s calm intelligence. When tragedy strikes though, and her cousin is killed, she turns away from Rowland when she realizes there is another man who may be better suited to her.
