This book is talking about the area called in Cairo, Egypt, as Old Cairo (Masr el-kadima), this area is famous for the Roman fortress once stood in the area from about the last two centuries, this fortress was called The Fortress of Babylon. Now, remains of this fortress can be seen, and among it many ancient churches were built from the first years of Christianity in Egypt.
