"Monograph honoring one of Colombia's more controversial painters, whose expressionistic work during the 1940s-50s was frequently surrounded by scandal and motivated angry personal attacks in the press. On occasion this led to the closing of several of her exhibitions, but her contribution was finally recognized in the 1980s.
