Dr. Boynton will give a scientific exhibition of philosophical experiments as a Christmas entertainment at Jayne's Hall on Saturday evening, December 25th, 1858. The entertainment will consist of a great variety of experiments in electricity, galvanism, chemistry and natural philosophy, with explanations adapted to the capacity of all ... An experiment will be made, illustrating the manner in which the English proposed to blow up the ships sunk in the harbor of Sebastopol. Many interesting experiments will be made with a galvanic battery. The entertainment will conclude with a beautiful baloon ascension, with net & car attached.
