Description
Abstract: A report to Congress discusses the development of a Comprehensive Plan for a National Food and Human Nutrition Research and Education Program. The policy is designed to provide research-based information to facilitate the selection of a healthful diet by all individuals. It is also designed to ensure the availability of a safe and adequate food supply, and to define the nitritional requirements necessary for optimal human health. The plan directly supports the Federal Five-Year Plan, and is designed to coordinate research and education activities within the Federal Government and with the private sector.
