Description
This is the first study in English on the plays and theatre activities of Spanish playwright and poet Federico García Lorca. A biographical chapter places FGL in the context of his time--family, education, friendships, publications, etc.--and assesses his tragic assassination at the start of the Spanish Civil War. The book then presents a critical assessment, together with performance data, of all the then-known plays. A bibliography completes the study.
