The peaceful Afghanistan

Photographer Stefan Alfons and his team journeyed by jeep across the daunting but breath-taking landscape of the Wakhan Corridor, a north-eastern province of Afghanistan. The main image of Afghanistan shown through media coverage is of strife and war. Alfons' extensive photographs show us the contrast: a beautiful country with friendly people who practice a peaceful, hopeful way of life despite its hardship.
