This comic zine relates the epic poem of Gilgamesh, the oldest surviving literary work, out of ancient Mesopotamia. Issue one introduces Gilgamesh, a demigod and the tyrannical emperor of Uruk in 2500 BCE. As his harsh leadership style gets out of hand, the gods send a challenger in the form of Enkidu, a half-god, half-animal. The zine is hand-drawn and handwritten in a graphic style in grey, black, and white and includes a bibliography.
