Mad love

With a diagnostic history of ADD and depression, including having been kidnapped to a mental hospital, Icarus Project member Jessica Max Stein responds to how society pathologizes and isolates people from their crazy but true “rad” self. Max compares the queer and mad movements, considering what they can learn from each other. The zine also contains hand drawn comics, personal photographs, a memorial to Gay Liberation Front activist Bob Kohler, and a tribute to folk artist Ani DiFranco.
