Description
"Compilation of 12 speeches, as recorded by the police stenographer, for which Albizu Campos was convicted of breaking Law #53, which prohibited words and actions directed against the insular government of Puerto Rico. Editor suggests there is no correlation between inflammatory language in each of the orations, which were used as evidence for 12 separate charges, and the length of the sentences imposed"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
