This work's subtitle is "An Afro Treasure Chest." It is geared primarily for the youth, and illustrated by the world renowned artist, Leo Carty. The format of the book is arranged in an exciting manner to stimulate youth to read, be crital thinkers, and to enjoy learning about selected aspects of the West Indies via multiple choice questions. The correct answers are available at the back of the book.

The both authors hold graduate degrees from Ball State University (Indiana).
