This book gives an account of the Miller Ranch and life in what now is Nueces, San Patricio, Jim Wells, and Live Oak Counties in the mid-1800's. Mrs. Miller gave birth to 13 children and 3 others died at birth. Mr. Miller operated a ferry which was on the Old Cotton Trail near Lagarto.
