Description
Irma Stewart
Irma Stewart’s book, Job His Spiritual Value, provides wonderful metaphysical insight into the Bible’s story of Job. The little book provides the student of Christian Science with greatly more than ‘just one more commentary’ about the Job story with its classic and beautiful lines.
Within the book’s title we find announced the wholly spiritual viewpoint from which the account and all its dialogue is approached and shared. In tracing what is revealed as Job’s own spiritual integrity the reader’s own view is deepened with light. The higher and true viewpoint, expressed by Job in his words “I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth Thee”, is thus seen to be the only valid view.
There is much rich insight for the reader in this book, Job His Spiritual Value. There is also an Introduction by Hendrik J. de Lange, excerpted below, that reflects his endorsement of the book. The author, Irma Stewart, and Dr. de Lange knew each other well and had extensive communication through the years.
