The Martyrs

Ostensibly a fictionalized hagiography of two early Christian saints, Cyprian and Justina, who were martyred under Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 3rd Century A.D., the book examines that period in our Western history when we were experiencing a spiritual transformation from predominantly pagan beliefs to a nascent Christianity amid the sprawling Eastern outposts of the Roman Empire in the Middle East.
